Description	Nature's Timeless Landscape. Charles M. Russell NWR is a sprawling slice of the American West. Stretching more than 125 miles from east to west along the Missouri River, the refuge is not one destination, but many. This video production contains music that has been licensed to the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. This license allows for the free distribution of the finished video production, in its entirety, by video tape, Compact or Digital Video disc, or internet streaming and downloading. It is intended for the private, personal use the Public. Any non-private use by the Public of this video product containing licensed music requires that a separate license be obtained. You are responsible for any license requirement resulting from your use of the music. - - Prairies come alive each spring with the raucous mating dances of sharp-tailed and sage grouse. Bighorn sheep scramble up rocky buttes in the wilderness area of U.L. Bend. Pronghorn antelope race across seemingly endless sagebrush prairie, and majestic elk gather under a cathedral of golden cottonwood trees each autumn. - Located in the heart of Montana’s breaks country, the refuge has a rich and varied history, ranging from a wealth of fossil deposits to former homesteads. Many of the refuge’s vistas are much the same as Lewis and Clark encountered two centuries ago. The Fort Peck Interpretive Center features fascinating exhibits about the area’s history, in addition to impressive fossils and a full-sized Tyrannosaurus Rex. - This expansive refuge treats visitors to an authentically western experience. Hike along the spines of ancient canyons, experience the solitude of wide-open prairie, or enjoy breathtaking views along the auto tour route. Just one trip to the Charles M. Russell National Wildlife Refuge, and you’ll know what makes it Nature’s Timeless Landscape.
