Description	Bobcat crouched beside dried vegetation near road. Bobcats are medium-sized cats and cousin to the lynx. Their coat varies in color from shades of buff or brown fur with spotted or lined markings in dark brown or black. Their habitat varies from forests and mountain areas to semideserts and scrub areas. They prey on rabbits, rodents and occasionally deer. They are declining in numbers due to habitat loss.
